Boarding School

The headmistress of Kidera Primary School, Rtn. Nyafwono Lydia Omwoto, has initiated a mini-boarding program so that the children in the final year of school, (Primary 7 class, 15 - 16 years old) can stay overnight at school a few weeks before their final exams. This ensures that they do not lose time due to long journeys to school or have to do other work at home, and that they are not distracted from their studies.

Funding was provided for food, learning materials, security personnel and sleeping facilities. In the beginning, the children slept on the floor. In 2024, RC Kitzbühel, RC Bonn-Rheinbogen and RC Innsbruck Alpin provided 20 double beds. A small bathroom was also set up.

There are plans to expand the facilities and services for additional students and teachers in 2025.
